THE AIM OF THE PROJECT
WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
CHRISTIAN HISTORY

In the earliest stages of the Church's development, Jewish religious and social patterns played a crucial role. Jesus, the founder of Christianity, lived and ministered in Israel among Jewish people, and His 12 disciples and followers were all Jewish. His message of salvation through His death on the cross, was rooted in God's prophetic promises to the people of Israel. As the Apostle Paul stated; To the Jew first and then the Gentiles. However, the influence of other cultures and time has led Christianity to lose touch with its original Hebraic roots.
At the same time, many Jews have rejected the Christian tenets of faith, all of which has resulted in the emergence of antisemitic attitudes and institutional persecution by Christians.
The purpose of this project will be to examine the historical accounts and present the facts in a comprehensible and easy-to-follow manner. It will consider the negative impact on both the Jewish people and the Christian faith. Lastly, it will seek to explain why antisemitism should never be tolerated within the Church again, and provide solutions for how we, as Christians, can seek to repair the damage.
THE METHOD
The project will be undertaken in three major stages.

First, is the publication of the history of Christian antisemitism, through a trilogy of books. These books will be produced in a friendly, easy to read format that includes, facts, educationl information, charts , true stories and practical guides on how to create effective change.

Second, we will create a series of multimedia sessions and written guides to enable churches, small groups and education centres to discuss this vital issue.

Third, we will develop an online gateway for those who wish to dig deeper on the subject, discover practical ways to initiate dialogue and reconciliation, and provide testimonies and success stories.

This is the first volume of a bold and challenging three-part series which confronts one of the deepest wounds in Christian history: the question of christian antisemitism and the painful ways it has shaped the Church’s faith, theology, and witness to the world.

The book covers the first three hundred years of the history of the Church - focusing specifically on its teaching and relationship with Judaism. We ask, were the teachings of Jesus and the Gospel writers antisemitic or did the first believers consider themselves to be the fulfilment and supersession of the Jewish faith.

The Persecuted Book is a powerful and essential work that should be read by anyone seeking to be critically informed, and especially by both Christians and Jewish people. I came away from the book with a strong sense of its significance.

Praise & Reviews
My prayer is that The Persecuted Book will awaken the Church to both its past failures and its present calling. It is not a call to condemnation, but to truth and healing. It is a courageous and necessary
step into a subject that many would rather avoid. It is a 'must read' for every Christian.

The Persecuted is a thoughtfully written and well-written book. It does not seek to cause further division, but rather to inform, educate, and encourage a correct perspective on God’s continued love for the Jewish people. I also found it to be an invaluable resource, packed with fresh insight into the life and teachings of Jesus and the early church believers. You really should get this book.
